6 Days from Fes Merzouga Desert Trip

DAY 1: FES – MERZOUGA

6 Days Fes Merzouga Desert Trip, we start our journey early in the morning heading to Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco, through the Middle Atlas. Then we will cross the forest and the home of the monkeys before we continue to Midelt.
We will get lunch at 12:30 am in Midelt and get to enjoy the spectacular nature that surrounds that city.
After that, around 2 pm, our trip continues to Merzouga, through some of the best natural views of Morocco heading to Ziz Valley, the biggest valley in north Africa, while your private driver will give you information about that spot. Before getting to Merzouga we will have many stops to capture photos.
Once we arrive in Merzouga, your private driver will drop you at the Riad where we will have dinner and spend the night before going to the heart of the Sahara to discover all its magic.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – MERZOUGA

On the second day, after Breakfast.Your private driver will take you to discover the amazing desert and head to Rissani to begin the Sahara excursion. This small town is full of history and it was well known by its (founder) Moulay Ali Cherif, first of his name, and starter of the Alaoui Dynasty who came to this town to help local citizens from Zaouia Dila. The visit of this Zaouia is permitted with a local guide.

We will then have lunch around 12:30 am in Rissani and it will be our chance to eat the famous “El Medfouna” which is a special Moroccan Sahara pizza.

Before heading back to Merzouga we will visit small castles located in the area as long as valleys surrounding the area. The culture and living of that people will have no secret anymore.
Once we arrive in Merzouga, your driver will drop you at your riad to take some rest. Around 5:30 pm a local Berber guide will be waiting to take you on a camel trekking through the desert where you will enjoy a one of a kind sunset on the dunes. The trip takes about an hour to go back to our camp where dinner will be served under a sky of countless stars with a unique folkloric show of the local village around a campfire and then spend the night in the desert in tents.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – OUARZAZATE

The third day starts earlier to take part of a beautiful sunrise over the sand dunes while riding camels heading to your raid. Once your driver drops you, you will have breakfast and rest for some time. Then we continue our trip from Fes to Merzouga at 9:30 am by heading to our next destination: Ouarzazate.
Your private driver will take you through some small villages on the way, as long as the famous Todgha Gorges. known by its canyon in the eastern part of the high Atlas Mountains. We will stop at the Todgha valley where your driver will present to you the living style of the villagers and take you on high spots for some unique panoramic views. We will be having lunch around 12:30 am on the Todgha Gorges to savor some local dishes.
The trip continues heading to Ouarzazate and stops by the Kalaat Megouna, the Moroccan capital of flowers. Your driver will give you time to discover the products of this small village and enjoy its beautiful colors.
We can stop anytime on the road so you can enjoy taking pictures. Once we get to Ouarzazate, dinner will be served and we will spend the night there at the Riad.

DAY 4: OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

On the fourth day, the journey starts at 9:30 am after taking breakfast, and then we will go around Ouarzazate and stop by the studios. Many Hollywood movies filmed there and you might be meeting some actors since Ouarzazat studios are still active this day.
Our next destination on this desert trip is Marrakech. We will head there while passing by many Kasbah like Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou which is considered a world heritage by the UNESCO where many movies took part. We will get inside the Kasbah to discover the architecture of this special ancient place.
The trip continues on high Atlas roads and stops for lunch at 12:30 am at Tichka Col. Once we get to Marrakech, your private driver will drop you at your hotel or riad around 5:30 pm so you can get dinner and take some rest.

DAY 5: VISIT OF MARRAKECH

On the last day of our trip from Fes to Ouarzazate, we will spend the day around Marrakech. The tour includes all famous Marrakech monuments like Jamaa El Fnaa, El Koutoubia mosque, the Majorelle garden and more at your convenience.
The Marrakech tour is flexible and can be customized depending on your needs, we can go shopping, discover monuments or even spend the day outside Marrakech on the valleys.
At night we can get dinner outside Marrakech at a local restaurant where many shows are given like: Moroccan belly dance, folkloric shows, fantasia…

DAY 6: DROP OFF

6 Days Fes Merzouga Desert Trip ends, Private driver will take care of dropping you at your departure airport, hotel or riad.
